It's a new year & I bet you're just itching to know how the heck your life will unfold in the year 2020 (the birth of a new decade - we're no longer in our Teens). What's cool is that there is a magic key that helps us to unlock the meaning behind repeating numbers in our lives (including significant years and dates), and it's Numerology.
Yes synchronicity (noticing the 11:11 time stamp or having certain numbers follow us around) is totally a thing. We can actually use that same technique of noticing numbers around us to predict future events in order to get a clear vibe of our potential for success PLUS the challenges we may need to face.
In this article I'll be looking ahead to 2020 and using that magic Numerology key (with extra insight directly from Spirit) to figure out what's about to go down in the year ahead for all of us.
When reflecting on this past year of immense change & growth I've realized that I have stepped forward and owned a lot of things that I truly struggled with for years.
I've let a lot of things go over the past year, and embraced a lot of new opportunities as well.
My #1 biggest lesson of 2019 though has gotta be this:
I can't be all things to all people.
For years I have been trying to keep up with everything I was capable of offering in my Spirit Work instead of focusing on the aspects of my business that truly brought feelings of joy and satisfaction to my heart.
For some reason, the idea of being an Empath has become really popular on social media and within the inter-webs as a whole. But one thing that’s really not acknowledged out there is the fact that being an Empath actually really sucks.
If you happen to be a true-blue Empath (perhaps you’ve known all along that you are one without having to be told by everyone on the internet... or a meme); then you definitely know what I’m talking about.
I really feel as though the entire path of being an Empath & discovering those emotionally-charged spiritual gifts has been glamorized. Honestly though, receiving a live-wire of thoughts & emotions on a constant stream directly into your heart & mind can be truly overwhelming. It’s also messy, not so much fun, and can really play with your mind in a mental-health kind of way.
Spiritual Awakening is a mega-transcendent moment resulting in an altered state of perception or a sudden expansion or shift in consciousness. So basically, you wind up "levelling-up" any knowledge you possess about your true "inner self" as well as all that exists external to yourself (i.e. "the secrets of the Universe").
With a true Spiritual Awakening, you may immediately understand all of these concepts OR find yourself on the pathway to unlocking doorways that lead to more knowledge.
Either way - when going through a Spiritual Awakening, you oftentimes arrive on the "other end" of that journey with a general sense of peace & well-being in knowing the depths of your own soul PLUS your place in this world.
However, there is one thing nobody tells you about the whole "Spiritual Awakening" thing - and that is....
A few months ago I created a teensy bit of an uproar by posting a Hiatus Notice on the front page of my website.
At the time, I also let all clients local to the Collingwood, ON area & beyond know that I was no longer taking in-person one-to-one client sessions for the foreseeable future due to a dire need for time off.
Well it's now been approximately 2 months since I made this initial decision and there are more than a few things that have changed in my life.
For one - the time off has allowed me to branch out & throw more time into new creative projects...
One of which is going LIVE in just under 2 weeks on July 1st, 2019 - the Spirit Unplugged Podcast.
I'm sure you've heard of mental or emotional burn-out: Those moments when you're “up to here” with the many things going on in your life or people requiring your expertise or attention.
Sometimes there is a legitimate, clinical (medical) reason behind mental or emotional burnout (i.e. chemical or hormonal imbalances, mental health issues, chronic depression, etc.). Other times it's simply a matter of knowing when to take a “mental health day” from work, or “treating yourself” to something you would never normally do (*ahem* insert the A-Typical “You just need a Spa day!” references here).
The problem with spiritual burn-out is - it's not as cut and dry as other burn-outs can be.
