😴 IF YOU ARE HAVING RESTLESS NIGHTS then you are being called to re-think your routine at night. What time are you headed to bed? Are you on devices at night (I.e. phone, tablet, t.v.)? What do you allow yourself to enjoy before bed? Would you describe your bedtime ritual as soothing & comforting?
It’s time to pause & reflect on how you are setting yourself up for success (or failure) when it comes time to lay your head to rest. It’s also time to pause in life & take your time. You’re likely overworking or overextending yourself in some fashion.
But why Babe? Let’s not play the “because” excuses game.
Instead, how about you take some much-needed YOU time & put yourself first (finally). Starting with prepping a much more soothing bedtime ritual.
Light a candle. Put some Amethyst under your pillow. Drink some delicate floral tea (chamomile anyone?). Give yourself a bedtime story (read a chapter from a book or download an audio book or listen to a favored podcast). And maybe even meditate a wee little bit.
Imagine a fresh field of tall grasses and wildflowers, a beautifully serene meadow. Rest your head & heart there for a little while as you try to succumb to slumber.
😴 IF YOU ARE ALREADY SLEEPING LIKE THE BABE YOU ARE then what are you missing right now? Something is falling through the cracks because there is too much on your plate & mind. You may think you've got everything handled but secretly, beneath calm waters, you are starting to tread into “overwhelmed” waters.
It’s time to cut back & simplify your schedule - whatever that may entail. Prioritize tasks based on what they feed you (beyond cold hard cash) & not necessarily what they feed others. I know that sounds selfish Babe, but you soul us basically on the verge of needing to hibernate! 😴😴😴
t’s time to pare down your “To-Do” list, leave multitasking behind, and give your undivided attention to one task or job or responsibility at a time. It’s all about quality of time spent on each task NOT quantity of time given to all things at once!
Give yourself a break, indulge in simple pleasures... Like having a nap in the middle of the day. Or indulging in a juicy piece of fruit. Or savouring a bitter piece of dark chocolate.
Try out a tasting-based meditation the next time you take a wee break. Pick something juicy or delicious & slowly eat your treat while savoring each bite. Visualizing the colour, source or special place your favorite treat takes you.
Make this a ritualistic habit each & everyday for the next week at least... switching up your favored treat. Salty, sweet, sour, sharp, etc. Have fun with it Babe! 😘
Are you feeling “off”? Overwhelmed yet under-motivated? Like there is so much to do but precious little time to actually get it all done?
Take a moment & breathe through it. I feel a lot of anxiety here & I’m unsure if it’s yours or whether you could be picking up from others & your life around you. It could be either or both. But what I’m feeling through you is no way to go through life at the moment & I don’t see how you could possibly focus anyway with this weight on your heart & mind.
I feel like a “good cry” (or your version of it) is in order. Maybe that means you watch a super-sappy movie to cry your way through someone else’s problems. Or maybe you need to go out for a coffee / pint / drink with a close friend to either sit in silence or get all of your thoughts + feels out more in your trusted “cone of silence”. Maybe it’s finally time to put pen to paper & write, draw, or scribble all of your feels and the “unknowns” you face down on paper. Perhaps you need a good, solid cuddle with your fur-babe, a friend, a spouse or lover.
Whatever it is you need right now to soothe that soul of yours please don’t be afraid to seek it out. You just need one moment of silence, stillness, no thinking, no feeling. And however you feel you best achieve that, well the time is NOW.
Please put yourself first Babe and give yourself as much time & love needed to make it through. You can worry about releasing & letting go later, when you feel more like yourself. Not stronger (you’re already as strong as they come), but more grounded with mental & emotional clarity + focus.
I know you can do this.
Spirit knows you can do this.
So take it easy, one step at a time. I see a break in the clouds + beautiful rays of sunlight illuminating your path forward within 2 short weeks.
