Indian Head Massage

Since 2015, I have been fully certified in the modality of Indian Head Massage by the Rinaldi College of Aesthetics located in Barrie, ON. I currently offer Mini Indian Head Massage sessions at most Events that I attend.

What is Indian Head Massage?

Indian Head Massage is a traditional system of Ayurveda Medicine that originates from India and dates back more than 5,000 years.

This modality is also sometimes referred to as "Champissage" - a term originating from the Hindi word "champi" (where being "champied" meant you would have your head massaged). This type of massage reached our Western world in the form of treatment during a traditional "shampoo" in upscale salons and barber shops.

Indian Head Massage is essentially a form of relaxation that focuses on massaging areas of the face, scalp, neck, shoulders, upper back (scapula) and upper arms (deltoids). This form of massage can help to release muscle tension in those areas as well as promoting an overall sense of peace and well being (much like Reiki).

This form of massage can be performed while in a seated position - making it adaptable enough to be performed anywhere, at any time.

After an Indian Head Massage Treatment you will immediately notice a significant feeling of peace, calm, and clarity.
